サルディーニャの銘酒『トゥーリガ（TURRIGA）』
福岡出張から疲れ果てて帰ってきた。いろいろあった。ほんと、疲れた旅。そんな心を癒すべく開けたのは、イタリアはサルディーニャ島の銘酒、グラジオラス社が造るトゥーリガ（TURRIGA） 2000年。イタリアワインのインポーター、ヴィナリウスさんからいただいた貴重なもの。スーパー・トスカーナと言われるサッシカイア、ソライアなどを造るジャコモ・タキス氏がエノロゴ（ワインメーカー）を務める逸品。
僕は昔からイタリアワインでは南の島国、サルディーニャ島、シシリア島のワインが好きだ。このサルディーニャ島には『カンノウナウ種』という地元のぶどうがある。このカンノウナウを主体にしたワイン。昨今の各国のワイン事情としては、世界的な品種であるカベルネやメルロー、ピノ・ノアールなどを使ったワインが多いけど、イタリアという地は地元のぶどうを大事にしているのが大きな特徴。凝縮した果実味、深い奥行き、このワインの国籍は難しい。カンノウナウ種とは、南仏で言うグルナッシュ、スペインでいうガルナッチャと同じ系列。スパイシーで凝縮感がありボリュームもある。でもジャミーではなくニューワールド的な樽香が強いわけではなく、上品な力強さを持っている。ヴィンテージは2000年。まだ８年だ。もっと熟成したらどうなるんだろう？ カンノウナウ種はあまり長熟ではないと言われてるようだけど、このトゥーリガについてはもっともっと先の姿を見てみたい気がする。
鶏のトマト煮込みと合わせた。まさに地中海風の料理とワインの取り合わせ。エチケットがまたそれっぽいというか艶っぽいというか、まさに飲んだ通りの印象。素晴らしい～～ このワインで疲れた脳を修復！
